Kinemortophobia
Fear of the undead

In TV and Film zombies are represented in various ways. When designing this look for my final major project I wanted to create a sense of fear in the viewer.
For this look I imagined a worker being exposed to chemicals. Following an outbreak the zombie wanders through tunnels in search of food whilst slowly decomposing.
Location was key for this looks images, therefore, these pictures were captured in tunnels allowing the model to create different poses. I wanted to highlight the mouthpiece created, so ensured a photo was taken of the zombie eating a slab of flesh, further developing and building on the overall illusion.
I created this look by life casting my model and sculpting a textured decomposing zombie. I casted these pieces with intrinsic undertones of green and greys ready to be extrinsically coloured to build texture. This final look was made using a variety of silicone and bondo transfers.
Adding conditioner to the models hair generated a dull matted look and when combined with the dirtying down of the overalls helped the overall holistic look of the character.
